Research shows that reading aloud to children is a critical piece to learning. Even at the elementary level, students continue to strengthen their vocabulary, build background knowledge, and nurture a love for reading. Reading aloud to children helps them use their imagination to explore people, places, times and events beyond their own experiences. It also provides a springboard to meaningful discussions about different topics which can further develop a child's critical thinking skills.

In recognition of National School Psychologists Week, thank you to Mrs. Es Harris for all you do for our students and schools!

Congratulations to the PC students that participated in the District 2 ILMEA Festival at Augustana College! Participants included Dakota Robins- 9/10 Choir, Maddox Barto- Junior Band, Annamae Smith-Senior Choir, Alex Myres- Senior Band.
