After reading the book, "How to Catch a Turkey" these 5th graders are now experts in building cages...given these simple supplies of course!

We had so much fun this morning welcoming the winners of the fire escape plan drawings! Congratulations to Giada W., Octavia W., Arya K., and Priscilla S. These students were awarded a surprise ride to school in the fire engine today and an Amazon gift card. Thank you Hennepin FD for organizing this special opportunity for our students and promoting fire safety with everyone!

Congratulations to these super smart Mathfact masters! They have been working hard on learning their facts. Way to go kiddos!

Congrats to Mrs. Balestri, PCES Principal, who was recognized today as the Elementary Principal of the Year for the Starved Rock Region of the Illinois Principals Association! She will now be considered at the State level for the award. Thank you for all you do to serve PC students and schools, Mrs. Balestri!

Holiday carols are filling the music room in preparation for the Winter Concert!

Too cute not to share. This young lady made a heart word book so she can practice with her friends. This morning these girls were practicing their heart words in the gym before class. Way to go girls!

Celebrating kindness with the PCHS Volleyball Team.

Outstanding work by 8th grader Lydia in Mr. Curry's Art class. They are working on 1 point perspective from a bird's eye view.

We celebrated kindness today. Every student caught doing an act of kindness, received a heart that went into a drawing. We drew two kindness hearts per grade level today. The high school cheerleaders even did a cheer for each student drawn.

Check out these super smart Mathfact masters! They knew all of our special math facts quickly. Way to go kiddos!

Mr. Heuser and his VIP welcomed Pumas with treats and a sign to tell what they are thankful for. Thankful to be a Puma!!

If you missed the play last night at PCHS, make sure you come out tonight at 7 or tomorrow night at 7 to see this wonderful performance!

Great way Mrs. Ibarra got to know her story students at the beginning of the year with 4-5 things that they like and I stop by and read 1 or 2 when I'm in that hallway.
