PC #535: A friendly reminder that today is the first Wednesday of the month, so all PC schools dismiss at 2:00 PM (afternoon PreK dismisses at 2:15 PM).

Yesterday, PCHS creative writing class read their children’s books to Mrs. Bell’s second grade class. With Mrs. Holmbeck ‘s help, each senior got to read the story they wrote and illustrated for the students!




Mrs.Edens is a Q-Hit Music teacher of the year finalist! She was surprised with a pizza party for her afternoon class today. Well deserved!

This morning PCJH staff and students were greeted by Mrs. Carboni and her VIP with welcoming messages, music, and signs to remind us to have a "Glowing Day!" They are going to pass out glow sticks to students who attend the dance tonight. What a "bright" way to start a day.


A huge shout out to these super smart Mathfact masters. They all knew their math facts quickly, and they are excited to practice over the summer! Way to go, kiddos!


The PCJH Volleyball program had Tonya Fitzpatrick from Freedom House as our guest this morning and presented her with all of the gift cards and proceeds from our Block Out The Violence Volley for a Cause night. Thank you again to Coach Shannon Jenkins.

John Proz-Ozinga Winbun was selected to attend the Starved Rock Reading Council's Young Author Celebration! Pictured is John's mother Julia Drong, John, and PCJH 8th Grade ELA Teacher Mrs. Goddard. It was a neat day with writers and authors. Congratulations John!

Our journalism students walked around PCHS picking up trash in honor of Earth Day.



PCJH band and chorus students gave 4th and 5th graders a sneak peek performance today to drum up interest in joining next year!
