Notice from the Putnam County CUSD #535 Board of Education
The Putnam County CUSD #535 Board of Education is conducting a search for a new Superintendent. The selection of a new Superintendent is probably the most important decision a Board of Education must make; therefore, the Board has hired the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) to assist in this process.
The Board of Education is seeking everyone’s input in the search process. The Board requests that all parents/guardians and community members complete an online survey provided by the IASB. The results will be tallied and used by the Board and Screening Team to develop a brochure to advertise the position. All survey responses and comments will remain anonymous.
The survey deadline is Friday, December 19th, 2025 at noon.

Spent a little time this morning with some readers. Mrs. Ibarra's students updated their Reading Tree about books they are reading. Mrs. Carboni's class had a zoom with an author, Susan Friedland, who read her book Marguerite, Misty, & Me. She then spoke about being a writer.
