
Today these students had a special ice cream treat while voting for their favorite Bluestem book. Each of these student read at least 4 or more of the 20 Bluestem books and after the final vote, Chunky by Yehudi Mercado was voted #1! Congrats, and great job to these 4th and 5th graders!


A big Yee-Haw to these super smart Mathfact Masters. They all knew their age in math facts quickly and accurately. Way to go kiddos!

It's Friday which means the Dojo store is open! These 4th grade girls are trying to decide on what to buy with their Dojo points.

6th Grade Math classes with Mrs. Kindred are working on station work learning about area of all kinds of shapes. They had to find the area of shapes and then find a use for the shape!



Students in Mrs. Ibarra's English Class are peer editing their essays. Students selected their own genres and used plot diagrams to help create their essays. Most of their essays were more than 7 pages! Great job Puma writers!



Today we recognized Guiliana and Brayden for their outstanding leadership and overall character! These two 5th graders are this year's recipients of the John Ourth award presented by the Illinois Principals Association.


PCJH Parents/Families: Power has been restored at the school.

PCJH Parents/Families: Ameren has reported brief power outage that is impacting PCJH. They indicate it should be resolved in the next hour. At this time, the school will remain in session as planned today. Further notices will be provided if the situation is not resolved.
