REMOTE LEARNING EXPECTATIONS
Learning expectations for excluded students (or full remote learning) are shared below based on school. Please contact the building Principal with any questions or for more information.
MCC TESTING
PC #535 is currently establishing screening testing within its schools to (1) provide a means for students to more quickly return to school through testing, (2) help identify asymptomatic individuals and reduce transmissions, and (3) provide for weekly testing for any staff members who need it. While logistics have not been fully defined yet, we are now collecting consent for any student or staff member who wants to opt in to testing. Please review the following for more information:
OTHER TESTING OPTIONS
Whenever a student is excluded from school in accordance with IDPH Exclusion Guidance, parents/guardians are encouraged to seek opportunities for testing if it would allow the student to return without serving the full exclusion. For example, a student who is called in sick and required to isolate may return to school prior to the end of the isolation period if the student takes a COVID test and provides documentation of a negative result to the school. The following resources are offered to assist parents/guardians in scheduling such tests:
Regional Test Sites (List provided by BMP Health Department)
VACCINE VERIFICATIONS
Students and staff who are fully vaccinated do not have to quarantine if and when identified as a close contact to a positive case. However, a verification of the vaccine has to be on file with the school nurse. Any individual who chooses not to submit a verification will be provided direction as an unvaccinated individual. Students and staff may submit this verification using the following link:
The most recent IDPH guidance is based on the timeline of the vaccine doses and booster shot. If the student or staff member has received a booster shot, please use the following link to submit verification:
