Smart Boards and Interactive White Boards

Interactive Whiteboards and Smartboards are more or less user friendly boards that turn digital data from the projector into an image which one can write on. It's unique and quite distinct from various other boards as these boards can be used for presentations, teaching purposes, seminars, conferences in a way that makes those sessions far more interactive and animated.
Usually Interactive Whiteboards now come with the in-built touch recognition technology. Now the user or a particular teacher can write on these Interactive Whiteboards, can navigate pictures on the white boards, can erase the stuff that is not required and there is much more that these Interactive Whiteboards have to offer. It enhances the entire process of teaching students very interactive as it uses digital technology as opposed to the traditional method of using chalks on the blackboards.
The features that Interactive whiteboards have come up with have really brought about a sea change in the process of conducting lectures, seminars, conferences and presentations. It enables the user or the presenter to put his point across in a far better interactive way. One can use the color of the pen he or she wishes to write with on the Smart Board. Now a days a lot of Interactive Whiteboards and Smart Boards come with a Pen Tray. The salient features of Interactive Whiteboards are that you can save notes on to a computer file, you can use your finger, or any other object to write, erase or navigate objects on the Smart Boards as the technology is embedded in the boards and not on the accessories such as the pen.
The Smart Boards uses resistive technology i.e. there is a minute air gap between two sheets of resistive material inside the board. Once you touch on the board, a contact point is registered and its co-ordinates correspond to the same area on the computer screen. The technology used in the Smartboards and Interactive Whiteboards has given a massive fillip to the education industry as Smart Boards and Interactive Whiteboards are being put to use like never before. It's quite an easy-to-use kind of an apparatus which has simplified the process of conducting presentations, seminars, and lectures substantially. Be it writing notes, drawing diagrams, explaining illustrations, Smart Boards do it all and they do not entail much effort on the part of the user.
