Board President Judy Hopkins called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
The meeting continued with the Pledge of Allegiance. PLEDGE
The following members were present to answer roll call: Mrs. Entwistle, Mrs. Hopkins, Mrs. Nauman, Mrs. Popurella, Mrs. Smoode, and Mrs. Stoddard. Mr. Kettman was absent. ROLL CALL
Brandon Rehn was introduced as High School Student of the Month. Congratulations to Brandon. STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Mrs. Stoddard moved and Mrs. Entwistle seconded the motion to approve the Consent Agenda. The motion did not pass. Mrs. Nauman moved and Mrs. Stoddard seconded the motion to approve the Consent Agenda minus the Ficek bill - Regular session and Executive session minutes of November 16, 2009, Financial Reports for the month of November, Treasurer’s Report for month of November, and bills for month of December. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Nauman, aye; Mrs. Popurella, aye; Mrs. Smoode, aye; Mrs. Stoddard, aye; Mrs. Entwistle, aye; and Mrs. Hopkins, aye. Motion carried. CONSENT AGENDA
Mrs. Entwistle moved and Mrs. Popurella seconded the motion to pay Ficek $30,806.37 (hold $10,000 until phone system is working consistently). On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Entwistle, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; Mrs. Nauman, aye; Mrs. Popurella, aye; Mrs. Smoode, aye; and Mrs. Stoddard, aye. Motion carried.

PRINCIPALS’ REPORTS
Primary Building Update – punch list is almost complete. The District has received final payment from IEMA/FEMA. SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
Parent Advisory Committee is compiling a Needs Assessment Survey to be put on the District’s Website. BOARD COMMITTEE REPORTS
Mrs. Stoddard moved and Mrs. Entwistle seconded the motion to approve the Tax Levy. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Stoddard, aye; Mrs. Entwistle, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; Mrs. Nauman, aye; Mrs. Popurella, aye; and Mrs. Smoode, aye. Motion carried. TAX LEVY
Mrs. Stoddard moved and Mrs. Nauman seconded the motion to adopt the Policy Manual prepared by the Policy Committee. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Stoddard, aye; Mrs. Entwistle, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; Mrs. Nauman, aye; Mrs. Popurella, aye; and Mrs. Smoode, aye. Motion carried. POLICY MANUAL
MAP Testing was reviewed. The Board asked if MAP Testing was working for the teachers and if it should be continued. MAP TESTING
The Board instructed Superintendent McCracken to bid out the District Auditor and transportation contracts. AUDITOR AND TRANSPORATION CONTRACTS
Mrs. Smoode moved and Mrs. Popurella seconded the motion to appoint Pam Ellena and Ann Lamboley as FOIA and OMA Officers. All ayes, motion carried. FOIA AND OMA OFFICERS
Mrs. Nauman moved and Mrs. Entwistle seconded the motion to approve the Collaboration Agreement – Dual Credit with IVCC and SRAVTE. All ayes, motion carried. COLLABORATION AGREEMENT
Mrs. Stoddard moved and Mrs. Entwistle seconded the motion to approve the High School School Improvement Plan 2009. All ayes, motion carried. HS SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
At 8:28 p.m. Mrs. Popurella moved and Mrs. Smoode seconded the motion to move to executive session for the purpose of appointment, employment, compensation, performance, and/or dismissal of specific employees of the school district and collective negotiations. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Popurella, aye; Mrs. Smoode, aye; Mrs. Stoddard, aye; Mrs. Entwistle, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; and Mrs. Nauman, aye. Motion carried. EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 10:15 p.m. Mrs. Popurella moved and Mrs. Smoode seconded the motion to return to open session. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Popurella, aye; Mrs. Smoode, aye; Mrs. Stoddard, aye; Mrs. Entwistle, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; and Mrs. Nauman, aye. Motion carried.
Mrs. Smoode moved and Mrs. Popurella seconded the motion to approve the Supplemental Retirement Award for Mary Gilbert. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Smoode, aye; Mrs. Stoddard, aye; Mrs. Entwistle, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; Mrs. Nauman, aye; and Mrs. Popurella, aye. Motion carried. PERSONNEL
Mrs. Entwistle moved and Mrs. Nauman seconded the motion to hire Rebecca Keener as High School English coach. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Entwistle, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; Mrs. Nauman, aye; Mrs. Popurella, aye; Mrs. Smoode, aye; and Mrs. Stoddard, aye. Motion carried.
Mrs. Stoddard moved and Mrs. Popurella seconded the motion to hire Brian Braskich as High School Math coach. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Stoddard, aye; Mrs. Entwistle, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; Mrs. Nauman, aye; Mrs. Popurella, aye; and Mrs. Smoode, aye. Motion carried.
At 10:18 p.m. Mrs. Stoddard moved and Mrs. Popurella seconded the motion to adjourn. All ayes, motion carried.
