Board President Judy Hopkins called the meeting to order.
The meeting continued with the Pledge of Allegiance. PLEDGE
The following members were present to answer roll call: Mrs. Alleman, Mrs. Hopkins, Mrs. Nauman, Mrs. Smoode, and Mr. Wujek. Mr. Fay and Mrs. Stoddard were absent. ROLL CALL
Mrs. Smoode moved and Mrs. Alleman seconded the motion to approve the Consent Agenda: regular session and Executive session minutes of September 15, 2008, Budget Hearing Minutes, Financial Reports for the month of September, and bills for month of October. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mrs. Smoode, aye; Mr. Wujek, aye; Mrs. Alleman, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; and Mrs. Nauman, aye. Motion carried. CONSENT AGENDA
Mr. Jeff Bergfeld presented a conceptual landscape plan for the new Putnam County Primary Building. The Board will consider the plan.
Mr. Terry Warren, PC Assessment Coordinator, presented an assessment report to the Board. Mr. Warren has been meeting with teachers and discussing MAP data. DELGATIONS
The building principals presented their Principal’s Reports to the Board. PRINCIPAL’S REPORTS
Superintendent McCracken told the board that no figures have come from the county yet. The levy should not exceed 105%, so there will be no need for a hearing. By the auditors recommendation the district filed for an extension on the Annual Financial Report. Building Update: Roof is going on, windows and interior walls are being put in. Veterans Day activities are planned at the three buildings. Mr. Chad Steinbach will be at the in-service on October 31 to talk to the staff about 403b’s. SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT
At 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Smoode moved and Mrs. Alleman seconded the motion to move to Executive Session to discuss the employment, compensation, performance and/or dismissal of specific employees of the district, pending or potential litigation, possible selling of real estate. All ayes, motion carried. EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 9:03 p.m. Mrs. Nauman moved and Mrs. Alleman seconded the motion to return to open session. All ayes, motion carried.

Mrs. Smoode moved and Mrs. Alleman seconded the motion to accept with regret the resignation of Vicky Duttlinger as PCHS volleyball coach. All ayes. Motion carried. PERSONNEL
Mr. Wujek moved and Mrs. Alleman seconded the motion to accept with regret the resignation of Cheryl Zera as PCJH Head Cook. All ayes. Motion carried.
Mr. Wujek moved and Mrs. Alleman seconded the motion to hire Debbie Shevokas as PCHS Volleyball Coach. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mr. Wujek, aye; Mrs. Alleman, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; Mrs. Nauman, aye; and Mrs. Smoode, aye. Motion carried.
Mrs. Nauman moved and Mr. Wujek seconded the motion to release Executive Session Minutes for December 17, 2007 through May 19, 2008. All ayes. Motion carried. EXECUTIVE SESSION MINUTES
Mrs. Alleman moved and Mrs. Smoode seconded the motion to appoint Ann Lamboley as Designated Representative of the Board to accept Nominating Petitions. All ayes. Motion carried. DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE
Mr. Wujek moved and Mrs. Nauman seconded the motion to pay Mr. McCracken’s moving expenses. On roll call the members voted as follows: Mr. Wujek, aye; Mrs. Alleman, aye; Mrs. Hopkins, aye; Mrs. Nauman, aye; and Mrs. Smoode, aye. Motion carried. MOVING EXPENSES
