Earlier today, a threatening message was discovered on a bathroom wall at our high school. The message warned that students and teachers would be physically harmed on Friday, April 11. Police authorities were contacted immediately and the high school building was thoroughly checked for weapons – None were discovered.
Due to this threat, school officials and law enforcement officers from the Village of Granville and the Putnam County Sheriffs Department will utilize metal detectors to screen all students entering the high school building until further notice. In addition, the high school facility will be closely monitored throughout the upcoming days.
