Board of Education Accepts Bid for the New Putnam County Primary School

On March 31, 2008, the Putnam County CUSD #535 Board of Education accepted a proposal submitted by R.L. Sohol General Contractors, Inc. for the new Putnam County Primary School in our school district. The base bid for this project was $5,636,000, well below the estimated budget amount totaling $5,941,000. In addition to accepting the base bid, the Board also approved alternate bids in the amount of $21,500 to provide glazed brick exterior accents to the building and to include side court baskets in the new gymnasium. The proposal calls for substantial completion of the project no later than March 13, 2009.
